Capital Advisers, Inc., selects exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, and similar investment vehicles by using fundamental analysis as opposed to technical analysis. Fundamental analysis focuses on balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow analysis. This may include ratio analysis, liquidation value calculation, or other valuation metrics.
The portfolio manager’s fundamental analysis results in the selection of an exchange-traded fund, mutual fund, or other investment alternative which drives the style, sector, and manager weightings which address the client’s Investment Policy Statement.
The portfolio manager monitors accounts continuously and performs formal reviews monthly or, if appropriate, more frequently. The review evaluates manager and security selection in light of the client’s objectives and constraints, risk profile, time horizon, and general economic and market conditions.
